The registration fee for the conference is $100. For students the fee is $50. Registrations must be postmarked on or before September 21, 2011 in order to avoid the late registration fee of $120. The registration fee includes the Friday night banquet, keynote address, a wine reception Friday afternoon, paper presentations, live performance events, as well as coffee, tea, and pastries on Saturday and Sunday. There is an optional dinner on Saturday evening at The Loft restaurant in San José for $30. This price includes dinner, tax, and tip. If you’d like to attend, please mark the appropriate box below and add $30 to your check.
The conference will be held at the Martin Luther King Jr. Library on the San José State University campus. The library is located at the intersection of San Fernando and 4th Streets in downtown San José.
The conference hotel is the San José Fairmont. It is located three city blocks from the campus library. Contact information for the hotel is: http://www.fairmont.com/sanjose (408) 998‐900. Be sure to mention when you make your reservation that you are attending the American Conference for Irish Studies in order to receive the hotel’ special conference rate of $109 per night. Reservations must be made by September 21, 2011 in order to receive this rate.
Some social events may occur off-campus, but are within a short walking distance.
